Dr Gemma Leddie

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, with over 6 years experience supporting people with emotional or mental health difficulties, and distress. I have a passion for working alongside young people and adults to help them to understand themselves and what is truly important to them, and move on from various difficult emotions, or experiences. I recognise how difficult it can be to reach out for support, and believe that everyone has the right and ability to live a meaningful, enjoyable and fulfilled life. I therefore provide a warm, safe, non-judgemental therapeutic space for individuals to explore their experiences, and use an evidence-based, compassionate and genuine approach. I value being able to tailor my work to the needs and preferences of the people I work with. I subsequently draw from a broad and extensive range of therapeutic models (including ACT, CBT, DBT, Narrative approaches, PCP).

Training and Experience:

I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The Universities of Coventry and Warwick, and am regulated by the Health Care Professions Council and British Psychological Society.

I have worked therapeutically with children, adolescents and adults with a range of difficulties and goals. The majority of my NHS employment has been within community children/ adolescent and adult mental health services. I have also conducted various Psychological, Neurodevelopmental and Cognitive assessments, and completed specialist training in the diagnostic assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
